I’ve been using VMware for linux emulation for the last 3 years and have just bumped into a revelation I wish I’d discovered ages ago.
If you don’t have luxury of developing on a linux-only local machine, you’re probably running windows and either dual-booting or have access to more than one machine. The usual culprits: you’re organisation requires you to use MS Outlook, you need advanced Office features that OpenOffice.org can’t emulate yet, etc.
Well running a VMware linux guest on a Windows host is a big mistake!
